There was once a scientist named Arc Dawting, he, like any normal acanth*, has a wife and kids, but he has vague memories of an alternate universe, so vague, he can't even picture what happens in his head clearly, but he knows they're there. He has a lab partner named Dr. James Catsckratch, who was also an acanth, they have been working together for as long as they have known each other, but one day, everything changed. They were working on a device called the ‘Nostalgia-vision’, a pair of goggles that realises your memories... * = An Acanth is a humanoid cat species.

Arc was ready to test the machine, but James was not too sure if it was reliable enough, he was pacing around the room worried, 'I don't think it's at a stable enough stage for testing yet.' he said, 'Relax!' Arc said, 'It’ll be fine, it‘s not like it‘s gonna kill me.', 'But this is new technology, ahead of it’s time, it’s not gonna be that reliable, it might even explode for all we know.' Said James...

...'You’re just being paranoid!' Said Arc putting the goggle-like device on, James sighed, 'Maybe you’re right.' he said in defeat, James plugs the device in and turns it on, it was working ok for a short while, 'See? I told you it would be fi-' then it went haywire, and giving Arc a massive shock, '-IIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!' He screamed in agony, 'ARC!' James shouted as he ran towards the power to turn it off... ...He flicked the switch to 'off', but it did not work as Arc was still being electrocuted, then, it exploded, destroying the base, and possibly killing the two Scientists... James then woke up in a hospital bed, although it took him a while to figure that out, 'Dad I’m so glad you’re okay!' said a rather cheery hi-pitched voice, James sat up and he looked to the side to check who it was, it was his daughter, Lilee. Lilee was only three, but she was smart for her age, she had very good communication skills for her age. She wore a pink shirt with a flower on it and jeans, and those Velcro shoes which light up every step she takes. James let out a groan, 'What Happened?' he said as he put his paw to his head, trying to remember what happened, and his head felt like metal, 'What the heck is this?' James asked...

'Oh! You were almost a goner!' Said Lilee, 'You were in an explosion! It was a miracle that you survived! But a bit of your head was gone, so they replaced it with some robot part.', 'It‘s all coming back to me now', James said as he was feeling the back of his head and found some wires connected, 'What are these wires for?' James asked, 'I don’t know' Lilee said, 'Maybe they’re for bringing memories back', 'That would explain it.' James said, 'How’s Arc?', 'Oh, Keno’s dad?…' Lilee said as if she has bad news about him, 'Well…He wasn’t so lucky…'. 'That’s right. He was right at the centre of the explosion… there was no way he could’ve survived…' a tear was about to fall out his eye, but he quickly wiped it off. Then an acanth nurse came in and said 'Visiting hours are over.', 'See ya dad!' Said Lilee, Then she walked out. As she was going out, Lilee saw Arc Dawting’s son, Keno leaning against a wall in the hall, Keno was 5 years old, he was pretty tall for his age. He has gray fur, Long ears and big eyes, he wore a plain white shirt and camouflage trousers. Lilee ran over to him, 'Hey….' She said, Keno looked up, '...Hey...' he said, you could see where his tear streaks were, because of the wet fur, 'Sorry to hear about your dad…' Lilee said, '...thanks...' Keno said in a depressed tone of voice, then another tear escaped his eye. 'Well… bye.' Then Lilee walked out of the building.
